Co-founding PolyGene evolved as a natural consequence of his prior academic and non-academic endeavours in developing innovative solutions to a variety of technical challenges, particularly in mouse genetics. He gained in-depth knowledge in neurological disease at Charles Weissmanns lab, and later developed transgenesis technologies for functional genomics applications at Novartis. Doron Shmerling has a Masters in Sciences from Tel Aviv University, and he earned his Ph.D. at the University of Zurich. |

is responsible for project acquisition, project management and business development From his academic and commercial path, first as a post-doc at the University in Edinburgh (Scotland) and the Medical School in Lübeck and later on being responsible for R & D in the biotech industry, Stefan Selbert brings very far-reaching insight and hands-on experience in the field of ES-cell technology, in-vitro-differentiation, as well as in the generation and analysis of animal models of human disease. Stefan Selbert achieved his Ph.D. at the Max-Planck-Institute of Biochemistry in Martinsried and holds a certificate in business administration. |

is accountable for all microinjection procedures at PolyGene. Through his previous engagements, as well in academia as in the transgenic services industry, Roland Gugel acquired wide-ranging expertise by successfully building up and guiding a transgenic department for the generation, breeding, and maintenance of mouse lines and models for scientific research. Roland Gugel earned international recognition in the transgenesis community for mentoring and teaching the establishment of genetically modified mice. |
